Integra Dental offers a standing day-of-surgery design arrangement for implant surgeons performing immediate load cases. The surgeon places implants, takes a post-placement intraoral scan, and transmits the file. Integra Dental designs the full-arch provisional within minutes and delivers a print-ready STL. The practice prints chairside on an Asiga MAX UV printer. The patient leaves the same day with a seated provisional.

The Workflow
From placement to provisional in a single surgical appointment.
This workflow eliminates the need for a pre-fabricated provisional that may not reflect final implant position. The provisional is designed after placement, from the actual post-operative scan, so every implant axis is incorporated into the provisional geometry precisely as placed.

Implants placed
Surgeon completes placement. Scanbodies placed on fixtures immediately post-placement.

Scan transmitted
Full-arch intraoral scan taken capturing scanbody positions. File transmitted to Integra Dental immediately.

Provisional designed
Full-arch provisional designed on 3Shape from confirmed post-placement implant positions. Screw channels aligned to actual axes. STL delivered within minutes.

Printed chairside
Practice prints on the Asiga MAX UV chairside. Post-print processing completed at the chair. Provisional seated while the patient is still in the appointment.

Patient leaves same day
Patient leaves with a properly designed, properly seated provisional reflecting actual implant position. Definitive prosthesis follows at a subsequent appointment.
What This Requires
This is a standing arrangement, not an on-demand service.
Integra Dental needs to know the surgery is scheduled so design capacity can be held for that day. Cases submitted without advance notice cannot be guaranteed the same turnaround. Surgeons who perform regular implant cases set up a standing arrangement — availability for each scheduled surgery date is confirmed as part of the protocol. The practice also needs a compatible intraoral scanner and an Asiga MAX UV printer on-site.
If your practice does not currently have either, Integra Dental can supply both as part of a workflow setup arrangement.
Practice equipment required
A compatible intraoral scanner (STL or DCM export), an Asiga MAX UV printer on-site, compatible printable resin for provisional prosthetics, and the ability to transmit the post-placement scan file immediately following placement. 3Shape Communicate is preferred; email is also accepted.
Advance notice required
Contact Integra Dental before each scheduled surgery date to confirm availability. Once confirmed, design capacity is held for that day. Surgeons with regular case volume are prioritized for standing availability.

Delivered within minutes of receiving the post-placement scan. Design reflects the surgical protocol and prosthetic preferences confirmed in advance.
Don’t Have the Equipment?
We can provide the Asiga printer and intraoral scanner.
As an authorized Arum distributor with direct equipment relationships, Integra Dental can source and supply an Asiga MAX UV printer and a compatible intraoral scanner for practices that want to implement this workflow but do not yet have the hardware. Equipment supply, installation, and initial workflow training are available as part of a complete setup arrangement. A practice that is currently unable to offer same-day provisionalization can have the full workflow in place within a matter of weeks.
