Integra Dental | Laboratory — Lithium Disilicate
E.max.
Lithium disilicate crowns. $159.
We mill the wax in-house and press the E.max ourselves. Monolithic crowns start at $159 using the lost-wax pressing technique. Hand-layered is $209. Ideal for high-esthetic individual cases, full-arch anterior restorations, and any case where the clinician prefers lithium disilicate over zirconia.
Two Finishes. One Material.
Both tiers use IPS e.max press ingots. We mill the wax pattern, invest, and press in-house — the same lost-wax technique used in premium pressed ceramic labs, done on our own equipment.
E.max Monolithic
$159
Lost-Wax Press — Full Contour
The wax pattern is milled from a CAD design and invested using traditional pressing technique. Once pressed, the crown is divested, characterized with surface stains, and glazed. Monolithic E.max offers exceptional optical properties straight out of the press — translucency, vitality, and fluorescence are inherent to the material. The right choice for the majority of individual crown cases, especially posterior where wear resistance matters alongside esthetics.
Standard for: individual crowns · full arch 18–31 · posterior esthetic cases · high-volume runs
E.max Hand-Layered
$209
Pressed Core — Feldspathic Porcelain Layer
The E.max core is pressed cut-back, then built up by hand with feldspathic layering porcelain. The combination of the pressed lithium disilicate substructure and hand-applied layers gives the technician full control over incisal characterization, translucency zones, and surface texture — producing the most life-like result possible from the material. The appropriate choice for high-visibility anterior cases and any restoration where the clinician or patient has specific esthetic expectations that go beyond glaze-and-stain.
Standard for: anterior esthetic zone · veneer-like character · complex incisal effects · smile makeovers
Full Arch E.max — Teeth #18–31
We do a significant volume of full-arch E.max cases — individual crowns restoring teeth 18 through 31. E.max presses with exceptional fit and shade consistency case to case, making it well suited for multi-unit full-arch runs where each crown needs to integrate into a consistent color and translucency scheme across the arch. Submit the full arch as a single case, note any specific shade transitions or adjacent teeth to match, and we’ll coordinate the pressing run so all units fire in the same batch.
The Press Workflow
1
Digital file received, CAD design completed in-house for each unit
2
Wax patterns milled on our 5-axis equipment
3
Patterns invested, pressed using E.max ingots at the appropriate translucency and shade
4
Divested, characterized with surface stains per shade notation, and glazed
5
Quality checked and shipped. Full-arch runs coordinated to ship together
