Stock Ti-Base Abutment Crown
The crown is designed to the stock Ti-base abutment for the specified implant system and connection. Zirconia is milled on a 5-axis Arum 5x-200 and sintered in-house on a Dekema 674 furnace. The restoration is delivered with the Ti-base abutment included. Design is included in the price.
The right choice for straightforward single-unit implant cases where the stock abutment geometry provides adequate emergence. Posterior implant crowns, standard platform cases, and well-positioned implants all fall here.

Custom Milled Titanium Abutment Crown
A custom titanium abutment is designed to the specific tissue profile, emergence requirements, and margin placement of the case. The titanium abutment is milled on a 5-axis Arum 5x-200 from a solid titanium blank. The zirconia crown is then designed to the custom abutment, milled, and sintered in-house. Both components are delivered together. Design is included in the price.
The right choice when the clinical situation demands a custom emergence profile — anterior cases, non-ideal implant angulation, tissue architecture that does not conform to a stock abutment, or cases where the restorative margin needs to be placed at a specific subgingival depth.

The answer is a workflow description, not a claim.
Compatible with Hiossen, Neodent, and all major implant systems. Compatibility confirmed at case intake — specify the system, connection type, and platform diameter when submitting.
Scan data enters 3Shape design software. The abutment and crown are designed against the digital model. Toolpaths are generated in MillBox or Arum ApexMill CAM software optimized for the Arum 5x-200’s 5-axis geometry. Zirconia and titanium are milled with full simultaneous 5-axis movement — not 3+2 indexed positioning. The restoration is sintered in-house on a Dekema 674 furnace with controlled heating and cooling profiles calibrated to the specific zirconia grade.
Every step from scan to sintered restoration happens in this facility, on this equipment, managed by the same team. There is no handoff between a scanning center, a design center, and a milling center. The file does not leave the building until the restoration does.
FAQ
What scan do I need to send?
A scan body scan of the implant site, a full-arch scan of the arch, and a scan of the opposing arch. Include a bite registration scan if the case involves specific occlusal considerations. The scan should capture the scan body clearly with enough surrounding tissue for the software to establish the margin, emergence, and occlusal relationship.
What implant systems do you support?
Hiossen, Neodent, and all major implant connections. If you are working with a less common system, contact us before submitting — we will verify that we have the correct connection data and components before accepting the case. Compatibility is confirmed at intake, not after production has started.
Do you need a CBCT?
Not for standard implant crown cases. The intraoral scan body scan provides the positional and geometric data needed to design the abutment and crown. A CBCT is required only if you are ordering a surgical guide in conjunction with the implant restoration, or if there is a specific anatomical concern that affects the restorative design.
Can you work from a physical impression?
Yes. Mail to 35 148th Ave SE, Suite 10, Bellevue, WA 98007 with a lab slip specifying the implant system, connection type, platform diameter, shade, and design preferences. The impression is scanned on a 3Shape E3 and entered into the digital workflow. Allow an additional two to three business days for scanning before the standard turnaround begins.
What file format do you need?
STL files are the standard accepted format. If you are submitting through 3Shape Communicate, the file will arrive in the correct format automatically. For direct uploads, open-format STL files from any scanner or design software are accepted. If you have files in a proprietary format, contact us before submitting to confirm whether it is workable.
